Built in 1946, our showman’s caravan features a fully fitted bedroom, lounge and bathroom with shower, heated throughout. It also has an
extensive veranda – Ideal for watching the world go by!
Originally on spoked wheels and towed by four horses, this rare showman’s wagon was built in 1926 for the Townsend family of showmen.
Inside is crafted in mahogany, featuring a full bedroom plus large lounge with extra bunk bed and is heated throughout. Toilet and shower facilities are available within 25 yards.
The Shepherd's Hut
A classic Shepherd’s Hut from 1895, traditionally occupied by isolated shepherds whilst tending their flocks at remote hillside/mountainous locations. Now completely refurbished, it has mains electricity and is fully en suite with toilet, washbasin and shower. Sit on the veranda as the River Parrott meanders by or, if it is wet, make good use of the fitted TV and Wi-Fi.
One of the largest showman’s caravans ever built! It was constructed by a company called PILOT in 1960 and extended in 1969. For most of its life, it was home to the couple who operated the funfair at Bognor Regis.
Now completely refurbished in period style, it features a double bedroom and a second bedroom with three single beds. There’s a small utility area with an interesting bathroom and shower, plus heated throughout.
A 100-year-old all timber Gypsy caravan in the style of a ‘ledge van’. There are very few of these Gypsy caravans left in existence as it was tradition to burn them when the grandparents passed away. The atmosphere is unbelievable! The bunk sleeps two cosily with the toilet and shower facilities are available within 25 yards.
A conventional Gypsy wagon built in the 1920’s, a ‘bow top’ with canvas barrel roof. It is a truly unique experience with an incredible atmosphere.
Two can sleep cosily on a bunk, though anyone over 5’8” tall will find it a squeeze. Toilet and shower facilities within 25 yards.
We are Dog Friendly
Dogs are part of the family and they’re welcome in all our locations, even in our hotel.
“Stayed overnight with my husband and parent in laws. Both rooms were immaculate. We ate an evening meal in the bar/restaurant which was delicious and so was breakfast the following morning. All local produce of the highest quality. The grounds at the hotel are beautiful and there are lots of vintage vehicles on view. All staff were very welcoming and friendly.”Karen, Birmingham
